An opportunity presents for an experienced professional HR Officer to join the HR Team on a full time basis.
Responsible to the HR Manager, principle responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Onboarding and inductions. Hold a portfolio of recruitment involving the end to end recruitment process
- Coordinate workers compensation portfolio.
- Delivery of timely advice and support regarding a wide spectrum of HR issues to managers and staff
- Provide support to managers and staff in regard to compliance of SKG policies/procedures
- Review and update HR Policies and Procedures
- Employment law i.e. employment contracts and employment documentation
- Performance management and disciplinary investigations
- Provide coaching to managers on HR/IR/ER related matters
- Supporting the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources
- A minimum of 3+ years HR generalist experience
- Experience or a willingness to acquire skills in worker's compensation
- Experience working with IR matters
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with a 'can do' attitude
- Demonstrated attention to detail skills
- Ability to be able to think of the next step and/or implications of own actions or advice provided
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Ability to work unsupervised and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Above average computer literacy skills i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet
This position requires the successful applicant to travel to all SKG branches to conduct interviews, along with other business related matters; therefore a reliable vehicle and current drivers licence are requirements of this position. There is an approximate 70/30 time split between our head office in Subiaco (70) and out in the field at the branches (30). Business related car parking and kilometres will be reimbursed.
