Here's what you'll need
Jacobs is seeking an experienced High Voltage (HV) Primary Engineer Team Leader to join our growing Substations team, based in Melbourne or Sydney. This role offers an exciting leadership opportunity to develop our HV Primary Substation engineering capabilities while delivering critical projects across the APAC region, with a core focus on Australian projects. You'll experience continuous professional development and engagement with our Global Community of Practice along with market leading remuneration and benefits package. Some key areas of focus include
* Lead a team of HV Primary Engineers in designing distribution and transmission systems (22kV to 500kV).
* Oversee the development of substation layout designs, clearance studies, and earthing systems.
* Manage multiple projects, ensuring quality deliverables, timely execution, and budget adherence.
* Effective management of resources and project allocation.
* Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
* Liaise with clients and stakeholders, representing Jacobs as a trusted technical advisor.
We're looking for someone with
* Proven experience in HV Primary Electrical Engineering, with a focus on substation design.
* Leadership skills with the ability to guide and develop a technical team.
* Proficiency in CAD software such as MicroStation or AutoCAD.
* Excellent project management and client relationship skills.
* In depth knowledge of Australian standards and industry best practices (National Electricity Rules, AEMO Guidelines and Safety in Design).
* Current CPEng and NER registrations
