Position Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Cleaning Leading Hand to supervise, coordinate, and support our cleaning team across facilities.

Location

Australian Catholic University, Banyo

Shift Times

Monday to Friday (6:30am to 2:36pm)

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of cleaning staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.
• Train and mentor recent cleaning staff, providing guidance on best practices and safety procedures.
• Perform general cleaning tasks in designated areas, including surface scrubbing, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, consumable replenishment, and washbasin upkeep.
• Undertake toilet cleaning duties.
• Work independently to meet and exceed contractual obligations, promptly reporting any on‐site issues to management.
• Utilize various cleaning equipment such as brooms, mops, and sponges to restore diverse surfaces to a clean and hygienic state.
• Assist Cleaning Supervisors in ensuring all cleaning activities meet contractual requirements.
• Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Prioritize and execute tasks independently.
• Adhere to rigorous Work, Health, and Safety standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possession of valid Australian work rights and a current Police check.
• Previous commercial cleaning experience is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated cleaning experience with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in customer service and effective communication.
• Dedication to safety practices and a sound understanding of safe chemical usage.
