Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Visiting Medical Officer in Respiratory Medicine to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Thoracic Medicine and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Respiratory Department and Hospital as required. The Visiting Medical Officer will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development. This position is that of Visiting Medical Officer in Respiratory Medicine with a particular focus on Interstitial Lung Disease at RPAH.
To be eligible: Medical practitioner, currently registered or eligible for registration with AHPRA. Applicants must have Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with recognised qualifications in Respiratory Medicine and/or other equivalent specialist recognition. Position will commence from February 2026. Applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within two months from the beginning of the 2026 Clinical Year on 2 February 2026 may be considered.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Public Hospitals Visiting Medical Officer Determination.
