Full time / Fixed term up until 30/04/2027. Opportunity to contribute and drive change for Indigenous futures. Base Salary (HEO7) $104,633–$113,992 + 17% superannuation.
This position is designated for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people only under the provisions of section 126 of the Anti‐Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW). We are seeking a candidate well versed across Indigenous community engagement, with an active interest in improving the future self‐determination of Indigenous entrepreneurs, business owners, and enterprising communities.
The University of Sydney Business School, a globally renowned school ranked in the top 1% worldwide in business and management education, in partnership with the NSW Indigenous Chamber of Commerce Inc (NSWICC) is co‐delivering the Indigenous Supplier Development Program to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander entrepreneurs to sustainably grow their businesses.
Role overview
As the Senior Program Officer, you will provide project management support and act as the core liaison point between the University of Sydney Business School and NSWICC, and as a point of contact for participants in the newly launched Indigenous Supplier Development Program. You will assist in driving the success of this business accelerator program and enhancing the experience of all program participants.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement effective administrative processes to support program delivery.
* Maintain accurate program information.
* Provide project management and guidance to internal and external stakeholders in the program delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement cycle.
* Coordinate academic faculty, industry partners and the NSW Indigenous Chamber of Commerce team to ensure partnership goals are met and a seamless program experience.
* Provide excellent and highly responsive customer service to prospective participants, current participants and program alumni.
* Manage program budget within the funding model and oversee commercial aspects of the partnership agreement with the NSW Indigenous Chamber of Commerce.
About you
* Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
* Industry experience working with Indigenous communities in an advisory capacity or equivalent.
* Demonstrated understanding and connection to culture through community engagement and previous professional experience.
* Ability to network and build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Capacity to prioritise and manage competing deadlines/projects.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and computer literacy.

Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. For a continuing position, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident. Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed‐term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the reasons for the position.
