About the Role

Senior School Visual Arts Teacher

St Aloysius' College is seeking an enthusiastic and capable Visual Arts Teacher for a temporary full‐time contract to cover a four‐week period of parental leave, commencing in Term II.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating curriculum in accordance with College expectations and NESA requirements, working as part of the Visual Arts and Technology Department. The role requires strong organisation and communication skills, as well as the ability to foster a positive, supportive classroom environment that promotes students' academic, social, and emotional development.

Applicants must hold appropriate secondary teaching qualifications in Visual Arts and meet NESA accreditation requirements as outlined in College policy. A sound understanding of syllabus requirements, along with the ability to collaborate effectively on curriculum development and implementation, is essential.

Your Application

To be considered for this position, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

* Commitment to the mission of Catholic education of boys in the Jesuit tradition;
* Possess relevant secondary teaching qualifications, specifically in Visual Arts and eligibility to teach under the requirements of NESA and College policy;
* Ability to create a positive, supportive and engaging classroom climate that meets the academic, social and emotional needs of all students;
* Ability to design, implement and evaluate curriculum collaboratively in accordance with College and NESA syllabus guidelines and outcomes
* Proven ability to ensure teaching and learning activities reflect contemporary pedagogy, including the ability to integrate an inquiry‐based approach to teaching and learning and differentiation strategies;
* Understanding of, and ability to use data to analyse, report on and manage student progress, and to report to parents in a variety of ways that keep them regularly and fully informed of their children's progress;
* Strong commitment to safeguarding principles;
* Possess a valid Working with Children Check.
