About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Banking Specialist to join our Private Banking team at BOQ Group. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering the Private Bank strategy and expanding our share of wallet through deposits, transactional banking, asset finance, and consumer lending.
As a Banking Specialist, you will be responsible for client acquisition and the ongoing management of existing clients, ensuring exceptional customer service while achieving growth outcomes. You will work collaboratively within the Banking Specialist National Team to develop and manage a portfolio of new and existing clients.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Liaise with clients, internal stakeholders, and relevant 3rd parties to showcase your relationship management expertise.
* Present the banking product suite to core clients, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products.
* Conduct interviews to determine clients' financial situations, objectives, and develop tailored comprehensive banking solutions to meet client needs.
* Determine client income, loan serviceability, prepare credit submissions, and take ownership of each new deal while actively managing it to settlement.
* Manage workflow efficiently, following internal processes and applying best practice with compliance matters.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have proven experience in private or consumer banking, with a strong understanding of industry niches and complexities. Your ability to handle high workloads efficiently, time management, and prioritization skills are critical. A degree is preferable, but your experience and demonstrated aptitude for banking and finance are what truly matter to us.
