* Base Salary $112,628 + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity

The Immigration and Global Mobility team are seeking a skilled Immigration Consultant to deliver expert immigration and global mobility support, ensuring a smooth, compliant relocation experience for staff and visitors while partnering with HR to maintain seamless service delivery and adherence to immigration regulations, University policies, and relocation-related requirements.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

* provide expert immigration, visa, and relocation advice to HR teams, hiring units, staff, prospective employees, and visitors, ensuring accurate interpretation of regulations and internal policies
* manage end to end employer sponsored visa processes, offering tailored guidance, identifying complexities, and supporting applicants through compliant and timely submissions
* support compliance and risk management by monitoring visa status, work rights, and relocation governance, updating HR systems, issuing reminders, and escalating potential breaches
* deliver complex immigration and mobility services, including advising on and lodging nomination applications and ensuring relocating staff receive entitlements aligned with their offers
* maintain accurate documentation and records across HR systems and files to support consistent advice, compliance, and reliable reporting of international staff and affiliates.
About you
* identifies and manages immediate issues and risks, providing timely advice, appropriate follow up, and escalation when required
* maintains up to date expertise in immigration requirements, with strong ability to interpret HR/IR policies, awards, and enterprise agreements to deliver accurate guidance
* demonstrates excellent time management, organisation, and high level communication skills, effectively influencing and liaising with staff, prospective employees, and external agencies on complex immigration matters
* shares knowledge and contributes to continuous improvement, applying strong problem solving skills and supporting a collaborative team environment
* brings broad experience across Australian visas and migration legislation, with a strong focus on employer-sponsored visas, and the ability to apply complex rules to a university context; understanding of relocation, salary packaging and FBT is desirable; strong computer literacy is essential.
