About the Role
Coordinate repairs and carry out maintenance services for our village residents, staff, and visitors as our Senior Maintenance Officer at the beautiful Townsend Park Village.
Key Information
Full-time position. No weekend work.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate and complete maintenance tasks, repairs, and routine inspections across residential properties
* Deliver general maintenance support, including minor repairs, installations, and troubleshooting
* Manage building assets, including assessing isolation valves for servicing requirements, isolating water and safely shutting down systems when needed
* Coordinate monthly checks of emergency system and emergency lightings
* Ensure full compliance with EHS procedures to maintain a safe environment for residents, visitors, and contractors
* Respond to resident maintenance requests promptly, professionally and with clear communication
* Liaise with external contractors to ensure all work orders are completed efficiently and to a high standard
* Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities and updating internal systems and databases
* Assist with various ad hoc tasks and operational needs as directed by the Village Manager
Qualifications
* Hold a trade qualification, with proven experience in the building industry or a similar role - preferred but not essential
* Be organized and able to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks
* Have effective communication skills
* Have an excellent understanding of machinery use and tools required for the job
* Hold a current First Aid and CPR certificate (or be willing to obtain one)
* Be computer literate (intermediate/basic knowledge with using Excel, Word, Outlook apps)
* Have the ability to take initiative and be proactive
* Have the ability to work individually and in a team
* Hold a current Australian driver's licence

Additional Information
Relevant internal training and inductions will be provided to the successful candidate on-site. The applicant must complete a Police Check and will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between May-November, with supporting documentation prior to joining. For selected roles, pre-employment medical assessments will also be required prior to any employment offers being made.
