Position: Fruit Farm Worker (Full Time)

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a hardworking and experienced Fruit Farm Worker to join our team at Singh Plantation Pty Ltd. As a Fruit Farm Worker, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of our farm, including planting, pruning, harvesting, and packing fruits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plant, prune, and maintain fruit trees according to established procedures
- Monitor and control pests and diseases using approved methods
- Harvest fruits at the optimal time and ensure proper handling and storage
- Operate and maintain farm equipment and machinery
- Pack and sort fruits for shipping and distribution
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the farm, including picking up debris and maintaining irrigation systems
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and achieve production targets
- Assist with other farm tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum of 12 months of experience in a similar position is required
- Certificate I in horticulture/agriculture preferred
- Ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment, including bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Knowledge of fruit farming practices and techniques
- Familiarity with farm equipment and machinery
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as needed
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Contract Details:
This is a full-time position with a salary range of $68,000 to $78,000 per year, plus superannuation. The successful candidate will be offered a minimum of 12 months of employment with the potential for extension based on performance.
