Job Overview
This role plays a pivotal part in the library's operations, involving various tasks such as organizing materials, providing technical assistance to students and teachers, and ensuring the smooth circulation of books and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sort, categorize, file, and record incoming/outgoing materials according to type and category.
2. Create comprehensive lists, accessioning procedures, and maintain accurate records for loans.
3. Retrieve, shelve, and maintain general library books and periodicals.
4. Ensure collection order is maintained by shelving library materials accordingly.
5. Assist with loan circulation and stock accounting tasks.
6. Gather relevant information and resources to support clients' needs.
7. Direct clients to suitable resources and provide guidance.
8. Support users with audio-visual and photocopy equipment.
9. Track overdue loans, issue notices, and maintain accurate records.
10. Contribute to preparing engaging displays and exhibitions.
11. Ensure storage areas remain clean, safe, and organized at all times.
12. Catalogue and document reference material details accurately.
13. Label, cover, assemble, sort, or mark resources following manufacturer instructions and established procedures.
14. Collaborate in maintaining the security of equipment and buildings.
