About the Role
The Facilities Support Manager is responsible for the overall coordination, support, and management of all Mount Monger camp accommodation facilities, surrounding infrastructure and associated services to ensure a safe, clean, compliant, and efficient environment for all personnel, contractors, and visitors.
The role oversees camp operations including accommodation management, housekeeping, catering coordination, facility maintenance, wet mess/bar operations, utilities, hygiene standards, contractor supervision, and customer service. The Facilities Support Manager is responsible for ensuring all camp operations comply with relevant Work Health and Safety legislation, company policies, liquor licensing requirements, and site‐specific standards.
This role also provides leadership to camp personnel and contractors while promoting a positive culture focused on safety, professionalism, wellbeing, and operational excellence. This role is offered on a 2/2 FIFO roster only.
Key Accountabilities
* Oversee day‐to‐day operations of the camp and accommodation facilities, including being on call during rostered swing
* Coordinate room allocations, camp occupancy, arrivals, departures, and accommodation scheduling
* Ensure camp facilities are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation (including water supply and management)
* Monitor and coordinate maintenance requirements for buildings, utilities, plant, equipment, and camp infrastructure
* Manage camp inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed in a timely manner
* Coordinate contractors and service providers associated with camp operations (plumbing, electrical, carpenters, locksmiths, maintenance, rubbish)
* Ensure all camp assets and facilities are operated and maintained safely and efficiently
* Monitor camp consumables, stock levels, and ordering requirements
Wet Mess / Bar Management
* Manage wet mess and recreational facility operations in accordance with liquor licensing requirements
* Ensure responsible service of alcohol practices are maintained at all times
* Supervise bar personnel and ensure compliance with Approved Manager responsibilities
* Monitor stock control, ordering, storage, and reconciliation of alcohol and consumables
* Manage patron behaviour and enforce camp code of conduct requirements
Leadership & Supervision
* Supervise camp personnel including cleaners, cooks, utility staff, bar staff, and maintenance contractors
* Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to camp employees
* Conduct toolbox meetings and staff briefings
* Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of camp personnel
* Promote a respectful, positive, and inclusive workplace culture
Administration & Reporting
* Maintain camp records, inspections, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation
* Prepare operational reports and provide updates to management
* Assist with budgeting, cost control, and purchasing activities
* Maintain records associated with accommodation, incidents, inspections, and contractor management
What You Bring
* Current Unencumbered Western Australian "C" Class Driver's Licence
* Senior First Aid Certificate (Provide First Aid – HLTAID011 or equivalent)
* Approved Manager Certification / Approved Manager Bar Card
* Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
* National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
* Proven team player with strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organisation
* Strong understanding of the principles of confidentiality and business ethics
* Demonstrated professional written and oral skills so the transition of information, concepts, ideas and instructions to others is clear
* Process driven with strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities to meet strict deadlines in a fast‐paced environment
* Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email and use of Microsoft Word and Excel
* Ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively
* Willingness to contribute to a positive workplace culture
All candidates must supply a recent National Police Clearance (less than 6‐months old) and have the ability to pass pre‐employment medicals and drug/alcohol screening.
