About the Role
Reporting to the Mechanical Workshop Manager, this role is responsible for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance across our mechanical plant, vehicles and equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting vehicle inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance
* Diagnosing and repairing both simple and complex mechanical issues
* Troubleshooting breakdowns across fleet and plant equipment
* Ordering parts and supplies in consultation with the Workshop Supervisor
* Providing regular job updates and communicating delays or concerns
* Participating in an on-call roster when required
* Maintaining a safe and compliant working environment
This is a physically active role requiring a high level of fitness and the ability to work in varying conditions (heat, dust, noise and outdoor environments).
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A recognised Heavy Vehicle Mechanical trade qualification
* Possess a Heavy Vehicle drivers licence
* Proven experience as an experienced tradesperson
* Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capability
* Sound organisational and communication skills
* Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office and Mobile Phone Apps)
