Are you a technical coordinator with experience in utility-scale solar and battery storage (BESS) projects? Our client is seeking a Development Engineering Coordinator to bridge the gap between engineering design and grid connection for large-scale renewable energy projects (100MW–500MW).
This role offers exposure to multiple engineering disciplines, cross-functional project teams, and the opportunity to influence the development of cost-effective, cutting-edge energy systems.
The Role
As the Development Engineering Coordinator, you will:
* Coordinate and consolidate input from engineering design and grid connection teams
* Support system optimisation, equipment selection, and design decisions for solar and BESS projects
* Develop conceptual layouts, engineering feasibility assessments, and project reports
* Assist in creating risk registers and identifying technical project risks
* Contribute to project proposals, presentations, and client deliverables
* Support projects during design, construction, and commissioning phases
This is a hands-on coordination role that requires both technical understanding and the ability to communicate effectively across multi-disciplinary teams.
About You
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience in renewable energy
* 5+ years' experience in utility-scale solar or BESS development
* 2+ years' experience working in cross-functional engineering teams
* Experience with construction and commissioning activities is highly regarded
* Familiarity with High Voltage technical codes, protection, control, and commissioning practices
* Proficiency with software such as AutoCAD and PVsyst is desirable
* Experience with HV infrastructure, such as substations, is a plus
* Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
