The incumbent is responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of key customer accounts to achieve sales targets and build strong, long-lasting relationships.This role involves utilizing high-impact relationship management skills to grow current customer accounts, understand their needs, and present tailored solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesThis role will have the following accountabilities:Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of key customer accounts, building and nurturing strong, long-term partnerships.Collaborate with the team to develop tailored sales strategies, plans, and targets for the assigned account portfolio, aligning with customer goals and company objectives.Drive the execution of Sales & Account Management initiatives within the responsible area, partnering with other Sales & Marketing teams and Customer Service to achieve revenue targets, ensure seamless service delivery, and high customer satisfaction.Recognize and pursue upselling potential within the assigned accounts, working with key customers to understand their evolving needs and propose customized solutions.Lead in crafting and negotiating proposals and contracts that meet customer expectations and align with the business’s capabilities.Generate and analyze sales reports to monitor performance, identify trends, and provide insights for strategic decision-making.EHSQSPerform, maintain, and improve the EHSQS standard and requirements as set by the company. Participate in the company’s EHSQS program, including training, audits, etc.About YouThe successful candidate must demonstrate the following competencies:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Food Science / Technology.Strong understanding of policies, objectives, operations, and activities within a Sales & Account Management role in Australia.Specialist understanding of the business-to-business sales process and broad food ingredient knowledge.Strong communication skills to persuade and influence key accounts, with the ability to adapt styles, interpret, and explain information to audiences unfamiliar with the subject matter.Ability to resolve complex or unusual customer issues, requiring original thought, research, new approaches, and analytical techniques.Proven ability to significantly influence commercial outcomes through effective decision-making for the team.Key Personal AttributesStrong personality – able to build rapport with internal & external stakeholders.Resilience and ability to work under pressure.About UsSupported by our 160-year history of ingredient innovation, we partner with customers to provide healthier and tastier choices.
