The Venue
Warm and welcoming, Fred's, on Paddington's bustling Oxford Street, feels like you've stepped into a friend's rustic country home – the natural setting for our signature farm-to-table cooking.
Seasonality, locally-sourced produce and a sense of occasion come together in our intimate open kitchen. Take a seat at the marble-topped kitchen counter and watch the team calmly working with the season's freshest produce, as they cook on an open-fire hearth.
Linger over a meal and appreciate life's simple luxuries: the first peas of spring, greens pulled from the garden hours before they reach your plate, figs bursting with juicy sweetness, freshly churned butter, hand-made pasta and bread baked in the hearth daily.
From the service to the produce, the magic is in the details. All of the meat and seafood we source is sustainably farmed and fished, the pasta is made from organic local wheat and semolina flours and the crème fraiche is house-made using organic local cream.
The Role
We currently have a kitchen hand position available to be part of our Fred's team.
To be successful in this role you must:
* Be able to do weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
* Be driven and follow directions well
* Have a good work ethic
* Have previous experience in a kitchen hand role
* Be comfortable with lifting, cleaning and helping around in the kitchen
* Want to be part of a fast-paced venue
