Lake Brownwood Christian Retreat is hiring Seasonal Kitchen Staff for our busy summer camp season. This is a temporary position running through June & July, ideal for individuals who enjoy serving others, working on a team, and being part of a mission-driven environment.
Kitchen staff play a key role in creating a welcoming experience for our guests by preparing and serving meals and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen.
Schedule:
* Morning Shift: Typically 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (schedules may vary slightly based on camp needs)
* Evening Shift: Typically 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM (schedules may vary slightly based on camp needs)
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook food as the menu indicates.
* Serve meals to guests.
* Store food and leftovers using proper procedures and temperatures.
* Wash dishes and maintain dish area.
* Clean and sanitize kitchen, dining areas, and equipment.
* Stock and organize food and supplies.li>
* Help receive and properly store deliveries.
* Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
* Assist with meal setup and breakdown.
* Take out trash and complete end-of-shift cleaning duties.
* Work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
* Ability to work on your feet for extended periods.
* Willingness to work hard and serve others.
* Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
* Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
* Food service experience is helpful but not required.
