We are seeking a 12-month fixed term, part time (0.5) Art Teacher to join our Wheelers Hill Campus on 1 January 2026.
The ideal candidate will showcase a passion for Visual Arts, with the ability to teach Visual Communications or Media being a bonus. They will have a commitment to professional development and a strong desire to engage and motivate students while adeptly incorporating innovative learning technologies.
The Role
The candidate will also be enthusiastic, possess a forward-thinking mindset, and demonstrate aspirational teaching practices. They will join a dedicated Art team, working collaboratively to achieve learning area goals.
Key Duties
- Deliver learning programs that demonstrate a research-based knowledge of how students learn, including integrating formative practice and providing continuous feedback
- Prepare instructional activities that facilitate engaging and appropriate learning opportunities for all
- Model high expectations to enable a protected and supportive classroom culture
- Contribute to our Visible Wellbeing framework to enable students to thrive and belong
- Provide Reports within school standards and timelines
- Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours
Skills And Experience
- Hold a current VIT registration and Teaching qualification
- Exceptional knowledge in the Arts, and demonstrated commitment to professional development
- Previous experience teaching Visual Arts is essential, with experience in Visual Communication Design and/or Media considered desirable
- Is values-driven, able to work collaboratively in a team, and achieves Head of Faculty goals set
- Able to connect positively with students and show genuine care for their learning
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
