This is a permanent full time, permanent part time, fixed term full time and fixed term part time appointments, with the possibility of extension/s and or permanency.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/08/2026 .
Join our team at the Research Support and Development Unit at SMHS as a Research Governance Coordinator. In this role, you will facilitate the local governance of research in accordance with local, state and national guidelines. This relates to the initiation and the monitoring of research. Liaises with researchers, Human Research Ethics Committees, Trial Sponsors, Insurance Commission of Western Australia, WA Department of Health, and hospital administrators regarding research submissions. Reviews Site Specific Assessment Forms and Site Access Request Forms making recommendations to the Director Research regarding the conduct of research at SMHS sites.

Eligibility
Are you eligible? To be eligible for a permanent appointment to the Western Australian public sector is essential that you are an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status in Australia. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.
