As Head Gardener, you will be responsible for managing the overall health, appearance and development of grounds and gardens. You will oversee staff, plan horticultural activities and ensure that the space thrives according to design and environmental standards.
Some of the tasks you will be responsible for include:
* Planning and design of gardens and maintenance schedules
* Supervise, train and mentor staff
* Horticultural maintenance and upkeep and enhancement of gardens
* Environmental stewardship through the promotion of sustainable garden practices
* Preparation of the grounds and gardens for seasonal transitions and special events
* Record keeping and reporting on maintenance and scheduled activities

All you will need:
* Certificate 3 (or higher) in Horticulture or Landscape Management (or a related field)
* Full Driver's license
* Demonstrated experience in leading a small team in the provision of garden & grounds maintenance
* Strong organisational skills
* Strong knowledge of Horticulture, plant ID, plant care and pest management
* Familiarity with tools, machinery and sustainable garden practices
