About the Company/Role
The company provides a range of specialised laboratory testing instrumentation along with technical advice and services to help you obtain better outcomes from your laboratory practices. They are looking for an experienced Senior Service Technician/ Service Manager to join their team. The primary objective of this position is to oversee field service operations, mentoring service engineers, managing ISO compliance, and supporting commercial activities.
Responsibilities
* Lead and support a team of Field Service Technicians
* Implement training and cross-training programs to build technical competency and service agility
* Perform installation, commissioning, calibration, preventive maintenance, and repairs on analytical instruments at customer sites.
* Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting for customers via phone and email.
* Plan and coordinate weekly/monthly service schedules and customer visits.
* Manage in-house service jobs, installations, and customer support cases.
* Collaborate with the sales team on pre- and post-sales support and customer engagement.
* Maintain documentation and procedures aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 1400, and ISO 45001 standards.
* Manage escalations, warranty claims, and technical issues with suppliers and customers to ensure timely resolution.
Please note that this role involves frequent interstate and local travel. A company car will be provided.
Skills & Experience
* Tertiary Qualifications in Chemistry or related field
* Extensive experience in servicing analytical instruments
* Experience in petrochemical, refining, or industrial laboratory environments
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
