Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our operations strategy and development of risk-weighted and cost-effective asset system strategies and plans. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Developing, managing and disseminating strategic asset management plans on a 5+ year time horizon, collaborating with operating business units and supporting functions
* Communicating and disseminating system strategies across the organization
* Coordinating business unit strategies and rolling them up to the overarching organizational operations strategy
* Coordinating operations inputs to economic regulatory processes, including access arrangements and revenue determinations, liaising with corporate functions
* Tracking and monitoring strategic performance, opportunities and risks across the power asset portfolio
* Leading and coordinating selected strategic initiatives across the operating business unit and corporate functions, along with providing input to the enterprise strategic planning process for operations budgeting
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop relationships and manage stakeholders in a complex enterprise environment. They should also have:
* Excellent commercial and operational knowledge of power generation and transmission assets, both on-grid and remote, including hybrid and micro-grid assets
* Experience in a broad cross-section of power assets, including open-cycle and combined-cycle gas turbines, reciprocating gas engine generators, solar farms, wind turbines, grid-scale battery energy storage systems and HVDC technology
* Strategic mindset focused on long-term business value, with the ability to interpret and synthesize data and identify and act on trends and opportunities
* Experience with asset management and economic regulatory processes and frameworks, budgeting and financial analysis and planning
