NHMRC is seeking an experienced and high performing Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive executive and administrative support to Senior Executives.

**About the Branch**
Research Partnerships Branch is responsible for NHMRC's role in driving the translation of evidence into health policy and clinical practice through partnerships. We manage grant schemes with a focus on translating research into policy and practice such as Clinical Trials and Cohort Studies, Development Grants, Targeted Calls for Research, Partnership Projects and Centres of Research Excellence. We lead NHMRC's international engagement activities, including bilateral and multilateral funding arrangements and the development of NHMRC's International Engagement Strategy. The section is responsible for implementing priority-driven health and medical research initiatives and for developing and implementing NHMRC's strategic and health priorities each triennium.
We manage funding opportunities for the Medical Research Future Fund in partnership with the Department of Health and Aged Care and work closely with strategic advisory committees.
**Job specific duties**
As an Executive Assistant, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing secretarial and administrative support to one or more Senior Executives including
- Tracking the flow of all incoming work submitted to Senior Executive, prioritising and, where appropriate, redirecting action items or enquiries to appropriate personnel
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and negotiating appropriate NHMRC representation at meetings and events relevant to your work area
- Working closely with other Executive Assistants and support whole-of-agency correspondence coordination, record keeping and internal communication activities to ensure the effective operation of the office of NHMRC
**Core capabilities**
- The ability to provide executive/administrative support with professionalism and to work flexibly and collegiately in a team environment
- Good organisational and administrative skills, including technology/digital skills, and the ability to work with mínimal supervision, to establish effective systems and processes and to set priorities, manage time effectively and meet deadlines
- Sound written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise and negotiate effectively with a range of stakeholders
- Ability to quickly acquire sound knowledge of the role and functions of the NHMRC.
**Highly desirable**
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of:
- A broad range of Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams, as well as videoconferencing and other new business technologies
- The Australian Public Service and/or health and medical research would be advantageous
