Job Title: Mental Health Care Specialist



About the Role:

The Mobile Assertive Treatment Team (MATT) is a multidisciplinary team that delivers assertive outreach services to individuals with severe and enduring mental illness. The team provides tertiary-level community mental health care to people living in the Camperdown, Marrickville, and Redfern catchment areas.

MATT operates seven days a week, with extended hours to ensure support is available at times that best meet the needs of consumers. The model enables timely, responsive, and person-centred care delivery outside of standard business hours.

Your Role:

* You will bring your discipline-specific expertise to an integrated model of care, working alongside nursing, medical, social work, occupational therapy, psychology, and peer work.
* You will build strong therapeutic relationships with consumers and their supports.
* You will provide individualised interventions to improve mental health, physical wellbeing, and psychosocial functioning.
* You will support consumers to achieve their recovery goals and enhance their quality of life.
* You will coordinate care across services, including housing, health, and social supports.

MATT provides coordination and clinical services for identified housing support programs.

Ideal Candidate:

* Recognised tertiary qualifications appropriate to profession. Full registration and eligibility for membership to professional association, as appropriate.
* Demonstrated competencies to provide contemporary mental health practice.
* Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
