Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, management, and technical support of life-saving medical equipment. Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular electrical safety and performance testing of biomedical equipment to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
* Perform planned and corrective maintenance, calibration, and commissioning of medical devices, as well as decommissioning and disposal.
* Provide technical support to clinical users and coordinate maintenance schedules with various departments.
* Maintain accurate records using online systems to track equipment history and performance.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
* Tertiary qualifications in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or Electrical fields.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a hospital or health sector environment.
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills in medical electronics.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in computer systems and database tools.
* A current Class C Driver's Licence and willingness to travel across the region.
