Your Role
We are seeking a dynamic and strategically minded Production Manager to lead our Dry Creek Frame & Truss manufacturing site. This role is responsible for driving a high-performance culture, optimising operational outcomes, and embedding a safety-first mindset across all functions.
The position suits an experienced operations leader who is commercially astute, confident managing large teams, and capable of delivering continuous improvement within a complex, multi-line manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Team Culture
* Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all BRG standards and legislative requirements.
* Identify at-risk behaviours and implement corrective actions.
* Build a respectful, inclusive environment that values diversity.
* Model integrity, teamwork and professional conduct across the site.
Team Leadership
* Lead and develop a workforce of 30+ team members.
* Optimise structure, capability and training pathways to meet operational objectives.
* Embed strong communication processes and devolve decision‑making appropriately.
* Coach and mentor team members, aligning them to business priorities and site strategy.
* Develop and execute a workplace relations strategy that supports a productive and engaged workforce.
Operational Excellence
* Deliver best‑in‑class manufacturing performance across cost, service, quality and safety.
* Ensure systems and processes are in place to meet or exceed service‑level and production targets.
* Oversee financial performance, inventory management and quality assurance.
* Drive year‑on‑year improvements in productivity and unit cost through continuous improvement methodologies.
Reporting & Quality Control
* Use data to generate insights and drive performance improvements.
* Track KPIs, investigate variances and implement corrective actions.
* Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Detailing) to resolve operational issues.
* Ensure plant and equipment are maintained to required standards to support safe and reliable operations.
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
* Demonstrated leadership capability in manufacturing or operations (5–10 years).
* Proven ability to motivate, influence and lead a large operational workforce.
* Strong commercial awareness and experience managing cost, service and quality outcomes.
* Skilled in continuous improvement, change management and problem‑solving.
Desirable Background
* Experience in building products or frame & truss manufacturing.
* Exposure to industrial relations environments.
* Tertiary qualifications in operations, engineering, business or related fields.
