Downer is seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead our Brisbane asphalt team based out of Brendale.
This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for delivering pavement contracting services safely, profitably and while driving operational excellence, team development and client satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the Brisbane asphalt team to achieve budgeted profit and performance targets.
Oversee project delivery, financial performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop and implement regional business plans aligned with strategic objectives.
Foster strong client relationships and promote innovative solutions.
Empower and develop staff through coaching, succession planning and performance reviews.
Drive compliance with Downer's Integrated Management System and Zero Harm initiatives.
Ensure safety, quality and environmental standards are met across all operations.
ABOUT YOU
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business or related discipline.
A sound understanding in delivering asphalt, surfacing, paving and/or minor civil works preferred.
Proven experience in project operations management at a senior level.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
Demonstrated ability to build stakeholder relationships and identify business opportunities.
Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Sound knowledge of work health and safety and employee relations legislation.
