About the Role
Join our clients Financial Accounting and Business Services Division, a team dedicated to building strong partnerships and delivering efficient financial processes. The Insurance Unit plays a critical role in ensuring governance and compliance across the agency. We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Coordinator (Level 6) to coordinate insurance and compliance processes for a 4-month temporary assignment.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate, administer, and monitor the agency's insurance risk and compliance functions
* Provide expert advice on insurance matters and claims management
* Conduct research and complex analysis of insurance and financial issues, preparing high-quality reports and recommendations
* Analyse insurance data to identify cost-saving opportunities
* Undertake risk assessments and support stakeholders in implementing mitigation strategies
* Maintain a central repository for insurance claims and ensure consistent claims management practices
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including insurers and RiskCover, to resolve queries and disputes
* Stay informed on trends and frameworks in insurance risk management and compliance
* Ensure adherence to information security policies and uphold the agency's ethical standards
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Strong understanding of insurance principles, governance, and risk management
* Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement and report preparation
* Proven analytical and conceptual skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions
Desirable:
* Tertiary qualification in business, commerce, finance, or a related field

* Reports to: Executive Manager (Level 7)
