About the Role:
Curtin University's School of Nursing is seeking an Associate Lecturer to cover a parental leave from 19th January 2026 to January 2027. This is a part-time position at 0.4 FTE (full-time equivalent), and flexible working hours can be negotiated with the line manager.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and a passion for educating the next generation of healthcare professionals. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, delivering high-quality instruction, developing curriculum, and providing mentorship to nursing students.
Selection Criteria:
1. Register Nurse with current AHPRA registration
2. Progress towards a doctoral qualification in relevant discipline (or equivalent accreditation and professional standing for Teaching Focused Clinical Professional role).
3. Demonstrated ability to teach effectively as well as a commitment to reflective improvement in teaching delivery.
4. An understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice relevant to the discipline.
5. Demonstrated willingness and ability to contribute to scholarship in teaching through participation in teaching and learning strategies and in professional development in higher education teaching.
6. Demonstrated ability to contribute to curriculum review and renewal.
7. Demonstrated high level communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with a commitment to the development of a collegial and supportive working environment and the ability to interact with students and staff with cross cultural sensitivity.
8. Demonstrated commitment to applying relevant and applicable policies, procedures and legislation in the day-to-day performance of the functions of this position.
Role Requirements:
* As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role.
