Quality Assurance Specialist Role
This role presents a compelling opportunity for an individual to make a meaningful impact in the quality assurance domain. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving food safety and quality processes across a busy manufacturing site.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement effective food safety and quality management systems.
* Monitor and execute robust site hygiene and sanitation activities, including environmental pathogen monitoring programs.
* Conduct food safety and quality validation and verification activities, including sampling and testing of product and internal auditing of the quality management system.
* Trend analysis and reporting of results and key measures of food safety and quality.
About You:
* A strong passion for quality excellence and a commitment to continuous improvement is essential.
* Previous experience in QA within a food manufacturing environment is advantageous.
* Tertiary qualifications in science or food technology can be beneficial.
* Solid knowledge of operational and regulatory GMP requirements is necessary.
* An understanding of quality management systems and meeting regulatory and customer standards requirements is crucial.

About Our Site
We are a seafood and snacking processing plant producing 50 tonnes of product daily for retail and foodservice markets. The site employs 120 local employees with approximately 95% of manufactured goods consisting of ASC or MSC seafood.
This role will contribute significantly to implementing, maintaining, and ensuring the correct functioning of the facility's quality systems and Simplot's food safety requirements.
