We’re looking for a Category Manager to lead one of eBay Live’s fastest-growing verticals. You’ll be the business owner for your category — responsible for driving GMV growth, shaping seller strategy, and connecting content, commerce, and community. You’ll partner across Product, Business Development, Marketing, Programming, and GCX to define what success looks like for your vertical and how we get there. This role blends analytics, storytelling, and strategy — and is central to scaling live commerce globally. What you will accomplish: Reporting to the Team Leader Category Manager of eBay Live, supporting the development and execution of category strategies bringing the eBay Live platform to Australia. Analyse sales data and track key performance metrics, monitor category and product trends and provide recommendations for future testing and business plans based on data insights. Collaborate with sellers to plan and execute compelling live events that drive viewership and sales, encouraging creative approaches and the testing of new formats. Ensure a consistent supply of high-quality, diverse, and engaging live content, actively contributing to the ideation of innovative show concepts and themes. Work in close collaboration with the cross-functional teams, including marketing, seller teams, trust, shipping and finance to ensure that major initiatives, campaigns, and launches meet business objectives and deadlines. Craft meaningful strategic partnerships with local category teams to enable a winning experience Conduct regular market and competitor analysis, execute SWOT analysis, and gather market intelligence from various sources. What you will bring: Bachelor's degree related field preferred. 4 years of experience in a commercial or category management role. Solid analytical, strategic thinking, and project management skills. Clear and concise communication skills. Strong ability to collaborate on cross-functional teams. Strong ability to gather and analyse data to form insights and recommendations.
