**Woods & Co Recruitment **are looking for a Collections Officer to join our client's Collections Team. Help grow this Australian owned, utilities company with an amazing culture and learn form a team of finance professionals!
This role requires you to display large amounts of empathy and understanding whilst ensuring collection performance is maintained to a high standard.
Making outbound calls to loyal customers who have overdue accounts, this role will see you have meaningful conversations, to work with the customer ensuring they fall no further behind.

**What do you do?**
- Early identification of possible hardship triggers
- Provide support & information to customers of Gov concessions etc
- Establish and monitor affordable payment plans
- Provide real time access to assistance
- Provide energy affordability advice
- Adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements
- Display empathy and compassion to customers facing financial hardship
**What you need?**
- **Minimum 2 years relevant experience managing financial hardship**:
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills
- Empathy & compassion
- Positive attitude & team orientated
- Knowledge of the Australian Privacy Principles guidelines & Privacy Act
- Experience in the utilities industry (desirable).
