We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Brisbane. This role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining mission‑critical applications using the technologies listed.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement robust and scalable software systems.
* Develop and maintain high‑performance, secure, and maintainable code using C# and related technologies.
* Design and implement RESTful APIs, web services, and integrate with third‑party systems.
* Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards, and promote best practices.
* Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, optimize application performance, and implement effective testing strategies.
* Stay up‑to‑date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software development.
Qualifications
* Proficient with C#, WCF, WPF, SQL Server, database design, and data access technologies.
* Solid understanding of software design patterns, object‑oriented programming, and agile methodologies.
* Experience with web services, RESTful APIs, and cloud technologies (AWS).
* Knowledge of software testing and debugging techniques, version control systems (Git, SVN).
* Familiarity with front‑end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
* Hands‑on experience with in‑memory databases (Redis), message queues (RabbitMQ), relational (PostgreSQL), and non‑relational (Elasticsearch) databases, SpecFlow/Reqnroll BDD/Gherkin test automation frameworks.
* Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable.
* Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
* 5 years of experience in software development.
* Proven track record of delivering high‑quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.
* Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
