Willis & Bowring is a respected and established mid-sized firm of over 60 years in the Sutherland Shire, practising primarily in the areas of Property Law, Family Law, Commercial Law, and Wills & Estates with the highest of professional standards.
Our busy Property team has an exciting opportunity to employ an additional solicitor on a full-time basis to join our team, focusing on Property Law. Our team consists of Senior Solicitors together with several paralegals all who hold extensive experience in all aspects of property & commercial law and this role will allow the successful candidate to be immersed in and guided by those senior practitioners. With a focus on delivering exceptional results and fostering long-term client relationships, we are committed to nurturing talent within our team and offering opportunities for growth and advancement.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have 3 to 5 years post-admission experience. You will advise clients predominantly in property matters, which will include:
* Managing a diverse caseload of property & commercial matters from the commencement to the conclusion of the matters, including property transactions, commercial and retail leases, contracts for the sale of land and businesses together with commercial agreements.
* Drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, leases and correspondence with meticulous attention to details and accuracy.
* Providing strategic legal advice and guidance to our clients on complex legal issues with your own client interaction on all matters.
* Conducting legal research and analysis when required to stay abreast of developments in property and commercial law and applying this knowledge when appropriate.
* Proficiency with the PEXA digital platform and LRS.
The ideal candidate will have:
* An enthusiasm for Property & Commercial law and a desire to expand their career in this field of practice.
* Excellent client management skills and an ability to foster client relationships.
* At least 3 years of experience in property & commercial law.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
* Strong attention to detail and time management skills;
* Strong understanding of file and risk management;
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of our supportive, friendly team.
