The Role
As a Family Counsellor, you will support separated families in high-conflict situations, helping them navigate parenting arrangements while prioritising the best interests of the child. Your expertise and experience will be essential in delivering high-quality services to families experiencing separation. You will use interventions such as family counselling, parent and child group work, and child-inclusive processes to facilitate workable parenting arrangements in line with all regulatory and organisational policies and guidelines.

Your Experience
To be eligible for this role, we seek a candidate who holds tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, Counselling or equivalent.
You will possess specialised knowledge of the Family Law Act 1975, the child and family service system, and the legal frameworks relevant to separating families. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with high emotional intelligence and the ability to convey complex and sensitive ideas with empathy and clarity.
