Sales Manager – Heavy Machinery (Start-Up Branch Launch)

Location: Archerfield, Brisbane (WFH initially)
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start: ASAP
Salary: Dependent on experience + Superannuation + Car Allowance + Sale Bonuses

About the Opportunity
Our client is a well-established global manufacturer of construction and heavy machinery, supplying wheel loaders, excavators, forklifts, and other industrial equipment to international markets for nearly two decades.
They are now entering the Australian market for the very first time, launching a new branch in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane. This is an exciting chance to join the business at foundation stage and play a key role in building, shaping, and growing the brand locally.

The Role
This is not your typical Sales Manager role — it's an opportunity to be the driving force behind a new market launch.
You will start in a work-from-home capacity, focusing on:

* Introducing the brand to the Australian market
* Building new networks and relationships
* Creating momentum through strategic business development

In early 2026, once the Brisbane branch officially opens, the role will transition into a leadership position, where you will:

* Build and manage a high-performing sales team
* Drive growth strategies
* Help shape the long-term market presence of the brand in Australia

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and execute sales and market-entry strategies
* Identify and engage distributors, dealers, and direct customers
* Promote a full range of construction machinery and equipment
* Represent the brand at trade shows, conferences, and client meetings
* Provide sales reporting, forecasting, and market insights
* Support pricing, positioning, and marketing initiatives
* Recruit, lead, and mentor future Sales Advisors
* Assist with setting up and launching the new branch

About You

* Proven sales or business development experience within heavy machinery, construction equipment, industrial machinery, or related sectors
* Strong industry network across construction, mining, industrial, or agricultural sectors (preferred)
* Self-driven, entrepreneurial, and comfortable working autonomously
* Excellent communicator with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
* Motivated by building something from the ground up
* Current driver's licence and willingness to travel locally
