As the Return to Independence Specialist, you will deliver a personalised service for individuals who have experienced a workplace injury, providing early intervention and support to injured workers, employers and treating medical practitioners.
This role offers a unique opportunity to manage your own diverse portfolio and positively influence parties to participate in the return to work process, take ownership of actions, and promote recovery and independence in daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Facilitate face-to-face visits with injured workers, employers, treating health practitioners and allied health professionals to empower and influence participation in the return to work process;
* Educate stakeholders on return to work legislation, premium impact, claim decisions and advocate mobile case management services;
* Collaborate with vocational providers to achieve return to work outcomes;
* Attend medical reviews with injured workers to implement strategies and early intervention;
* Educate injured workers on utilising specialists and available support to achieve agreed return to work goals;
* Communicate with stakeholders to develop return to work plans, negotiating strategies and assigning responsibilities;
* Educate stakeholders on completion of documentation and legislative requirements.
