Zitron Australia Pty Ltd is a fast growing, ventilation fan manufacturing company, suppling industrial fan units to the mining and road tunnel sector, based in the southern suburbs of Perth.
An exciting opportunity exists for a Painting / Assembly Trade Assistant, to join the fast-growing Australian arm of an international group that is a global leader in the field of ventilation for underground mines, road and railway tunnels, and metro systems.
Job Requirements and Description:
· Operate overhead cranes to move heavy items safely and accurately.
· Use forklift (license mandatory, WA High-Risk Work Licence) to load, unload, and transport materials efficiently and safely.
· Prepare surfaces for Painting: clean, sand, mask, and check for defects.
· Mix paints/coatings to exact specifications and ratios.
· Set up and operate spray guns; manage nozzle, pressure, and flow adjustments
· Perform fine touch-ups on completed products using spray gun or hand tools
· Dismantle, clean, and maintain spray guns and painting systems daily to ensure optimal performance
· Fit acoustic batts into painted silencers and inspect for correct installation and finish
· Inspect and verify painted surfaces meet quality standards.
· Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
· Clean and organize workspace daily; assist with general yard duties (sorting, cleaning, material movements
· Attention to detail and high-quality standards
· Basic mechanical aptitude (equipment adjustments, rigging).
· Team player with excellent communication
· Capable of maintaining a clean, safe, well‑organized workspace.
· Ability to work standard roster; some OT if needed. Be able to follow instructions
· Work in a team and independently
· Work to standards
· Be flexible and versatile in many small jobs
· Knowledge of hand and power tools
