Seeking an experienced Business/ICT PM to work across a variety of Projects.
Your new company
You'll be joining a large Federal Government agency delivering a significant portfolio of business‑focused ICT initiatives. The environment is collaborative, fast‑paced and undergoing major investment in digital, policy and process reform. The organisation is expanding its program capability and requires an experienced Senior Project Manager to help establish and guide two major streams of work.
Your new role
In this role, you will lead and coordinate two primary delivery streams:
1. NPP Projects (Small-Medium Enhancements)
* You'll oversee several small-to-medium digital and business system enhancement projects, including improvements to online channels and updates to core rehabilitation and compensation processing systems.
2. MYEFO Program Establishment (Multi‑year Initiative)
* You'll play a key role in standing up a large multi‑year program of work, including:
- Supporting early program establishment activities
- Contributing to the development of governance frameworks, project documentation and templates
- Breaking down the MYEFO initiative into clear work packages
- Driving initial project discovery phases
- Working closely with the Program Director and 2-3 other Project Managers already engaged on the initiative.
This is an interesting, dynamic role with less focus on immediate delivery and more emphasis on planning, coordination, stakeholder alignment and \"herding the cats\". Much of the early work centres on business change impact, shaping project structures, and aligning policy, process and ICT streams.
You will also engage with internal business teams and external stakeholders-including other government agencies -to progress discovery, define scope and prepare the broader organisation for change.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this position, you will bring:
* Demonstrated experience as a Senior Project Manager in complex Federal Government or enterprise environments
* Strong capability in project and program establishment, particularly in new or ambiguous work environments
* Experience delivering business-led ICT projects, with a focus on process, policy and operational change-not purely infrastructure delivery
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to coordinate across multi‑stream environments
* Confidence in developing project documentation, governance artefacts, templates, schedules and reporting frameworks
* Experience managing cross‑agency collaboration (highly regarded)
* Familiarity with government processes such as NPP and MYEFO (desirable)
* Experience with DVA or Services Australia (desirable)
