The Role
Due to recent project wins, we are currently seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Construction Engineering team in North Sydney. Successful candidates will provide specialist staged analysis, construction methodology and temporary works design services to some of the biggest contractors constructing Sydney's most significant building and major transport infrastructure projects.
Your duties will include, but will not be limited to, the following:
* Assist in the development of construction methodology and erection sequence for structures
* Detailed structural design of temporary works and associated impacts on permanent works
* Client liaison, in conjunction with Project Directors and Associates, regarding current and future projects
* Active involvement in all your projects, including project resource management, in conjunction with the Project Directors
* Successfully deliver current and future projects, while supporting RBG's reputation for innovation, technical excellence, quality, and project delivery
* Proactively collaborating with team members, contributors, and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness, and co-ordination of project deliverables
About You
* Relevant Engineering qualifications – with a focus in Structural Engineering
* 3+ years' Structural Engineering industry experience
* Experience in the design and delivery of temporary works design is preferred
* Strong understanding of Australian codes and standards
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Experience in the delivery of detailed engineering drawings corresponding with level of duties
* Solid grounding in steel and concrete design
* Demonstrated design experience using relevant Structural software
* Experience in preparation of technical reports of a standard requiring minimal correction; and provide final review of reports
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Ability to work on own initiative and in a team environment
