This role requires an experienced Environmental Advisor to support the delivery of a new highways project in Queensland. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring adherence with environmental legislation and regulations, while promoting a positive environmental culture across the project.
Responsibilities:
1. Support the implementation of project environment programs, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
2. Monitor and report on environmental performance, defects, and non-compliance
3. Develop and maintain environmental management plans, protocols, and procedures
4. Liaise with government bodies and professional organizations on environmental matters
A strong understanding of environmental management techniques, tools, and low-level incident investigations is essential for this role. At least 2 years of experience in construction environment management is required, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Science, or Sustainability.
