KAW Engineering is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Boilermaker / Welder to join our team. Full-time permanent positions are available for immediate start for workshop and site work in the Pilbara region, Western Australia.
The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in structural steel fabrication and welding and experience with class-approved marine fabrication and welding, structural aluminium fabrication and welding, and sheet metal fabrication with steel, stainless, and aluminium.

About the Role
Reporting to our Workshop & Site Project Managers, this Karratha Based position will expose you to a wide array of Welding & Boilermaker skills and provide an amazing opportunity to diversify and develop your skills:
* Fabrication and welding of structural steel for various applications, including marine vessels, heavy earth moving equipment, and architectural works as per drawings and work specifications.
* Prepare metal stock, including selection and cleaning of stocks.
* Work with hand and machine fabrication tools to shape and bend metal by heating and hammering.
* Perform coded pipe and pressure vessel fabrication.
* Conduct site installation and maintenance work for clients such as Rio Tinto, Woodside, Yara, CITIC, BHP, FMG, and Toll.
* Work with heavy earth moving equipment welding, including buckets, booms, wear components, etc.
* Execute architectural and decorative works, including complex stainless steel parts and boat works, by cleaning, smoothing welds by filling, grinding and chiselling.
Qualification & Experience:
* At least 2 years of relevant work experience
* Cert III in Engineering or Metal Fabrication or Higher
* Capable of passing a 3G & 4G test coupon with 7016 Stick Rods in 12mm Mild Steel to AS Generalist) or 6G GTAW in 2" Sch Std Carbon Steel (Piping Specialist)
* White Card
* Full Australian Working Rights
* The ability to interpret and fabricate from shop drawings
