Consulting Systems Engineer Job Description
This role is responsible for delivering pre-sales support and technical expertise to the field sales organization. The successful candidate will be involved in designing solutions, specifying products, and providing product information to assist with RFPs/RFIs.
The Consulting Systems Engineer will be responsible for leading technical discussions, articulating technology, and demonstrating differentiated value. This will involve conducting compelling solution presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts (POCs). Additionally, they will provide hands-on technical assistance and build technical materials to support sales activities.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing second-level pre-sales support to the field SE organization
* Designing solutions, specifying products, and providing product information
* Leading technical discussions and articulating technology
* Conducting solution presentations, demonstrations, and POCs
* Providing hands-on technical assistance

An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to effectively articulate complex technical ideas to non-technical audiences. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are essential, as is self-motivation and a drive to succeed.

Technical Requirements
Expertise in email-related protocols and standards, including SMTP, LDAP, and DANE. Solid understanding of email security policies, email routing, data loss prevention (DLP), and archiving. Extensive hands-on experience with email system configuration, security, and troubleshooting.
Experience with secure email gateways deployment for large enterprises, both cloud and on-premises. Good experience with Microsoft 365 Exchange Online and Exchange Server. Familiarity with cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS, and Azure. Good knowledge of threat intelligence, cloud security, network security, identity and access management, Linux administration, scripting, and REST API.
Qualifications
10 years' experience in a pre-sales or customer-facing IT consultancy role. Experience presenting to large groups, working in a distributed team, and with major SEG vendors. Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems, or related field equivalent experience.
