The Casino Food Company Limited is a leading export-focused food processor with facilities in Casino and Booyong near Lismore, in the Northern Rivers region of the NSW Far North Coast.
We are currently seeking a Trades Assistant to join our Maintenance Department. This role involves supporting our maintenance team with general trades assistant duties. The roster for this position is 3:30pm to 11:30pm.
Prior experience is beneficial but not essential. We are looking for candidates with a strong work ethic and the right attitude—training and mentoring will be provided. The role will primarily involve cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment throughout production areas, as well as providing general support to tradespeople during the afternoon shift.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform general housekeeping duties.
* Carry out general labouring tasks and assist trade staff.
* Clean and maintain machinery throughout production areas.
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
* A strong work ethic and positive attitude
* Basic mechanical aptitude
* Ability to work afternoon/night shifts, including rotating weekends
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* Good IT skills and willingness to learn new systems
* Desire to learn new skills and undertake training
Desirable (but not essential) Qualifications/Experience:
* Background in manufacturing or processing
* Forklift High Risk Work License
* HR or HC driver license
* Excavator, loader, or bobcat competencies
* Exposure to mechanical maintenance tasks, such as equipment cleaning, basic repairs, or tool handling
