This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced leader to take on a newly formed and diverse portfolio. As Manager, you will lead civil infrastructure, fleet, biosecurity and open spaces, setting direction, driving performance and fostering a positive, high-performing team culture.
You will be responsible for leading the construction, maintenance and renewal of roads, drainage, bridges and civil infrastructure, while overseeing traffic management and heavy vehicle permits. The role also includes managing parks, open spaces and recreational assets, along with Council’s fleet and plant operations, ensuring effective procurement, maintenance and compliance. In addition, you will oversee biosecurity programs to manage invasive pests, weeds and diseases, provide expert technical advice to the executive, maintain strong stakeholder relationships, and manage budgets and grant-funded programs. A key focus will be driving innovation, continuous improvement and alignment with industry best practice.
An attractive remuneration package of up to $210,000 is offered, including salary, superannuation, motor vehicle allowance, leave loading and locality allowance. Additional benefits include a 12-week rental subsidy, relocation support, five weeks annual leave, paid leave over the Christmas and New Year period, and 15 days of sick or carers leave. The role is offered on a contract of two to five years, depending on the successful candidate’s preference.
