If you have a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or willing to obtain and can design and prepare versatile, child-friendly menus and understand and can manage dietary needs, allergies and anaphylaxis protocols while enthusiastic about cooking with young children and engaging them in food related activities then we would love to hear from you. We are a 116 Place Centre with a large, modern kitchen space with excellent facilities, access to Woolworths at Work for efficient ingredient sourcing and use of Feed Australia for nutrition tracking and compliance. You’ll have access to a national network of centre cooks who regularly share recipes, questions, ideas and tips! About you Efficient and capable cook Able to prepare, implement and evaluate the nutritional content of menus for children of all ages Experienced in bulk meal preparation, online ordering, stock management and budget control Strict about complying with relevant food safety and hygiene regulations and standards Able to cater for individual child requirements including allergies, specific dietary requirements and needs Keen to participate in the early educational opportunities of teaching children about healthy food by sharing in lessons and family events You already have Current Food Safety and Handlers (Health and Community) Certificate Certificate III in Commercial Cookery / equivalent (desirable) Experience in an early childhood setting Reliable transport to and from our centre Current first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) and resuscitation certificate Why work for Affinity: If you’re looking for a values-led organization with incredible people making a genuine difference.
