About the Role
The La Trobe Rural Health School is seeking a Senior Lecturer to join its team of experienced educators. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to make a significant contribution to the discipline of Dentistry and Oral Health.
Key Responsibilities:
* To develop and deliver high-quality curriculum that meets the needs of students and the profession
* To provide excellent teaching and learning experiences that prepare students to be dental practitioners of the future
* To undertake research and scholarly work relevant to Dentistry and Oral Health, with a focus on improving the quality of and access to care in regional and rural areas of Australia
Requirements:
* A PhD or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the relevant discipline area
* Demonstrated effectiveness in curriculum development and teaching, with a commitment to excellence in teaching
* A strong record of research publication, with evidence of quality and impact
* Demonstrated achievement as a leading practitioner with a reputation for skills, knowledge and expertise at a state/national level
* Demonstrated effectiveness in liaising with external organisations/agencies and/or the public
* Skills in the preparation for Higher Education teaching, defined by evidence of a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education or equivalent professional preparation
* Demonstrated evidence of full registration as a general dentist or a specialist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra)
