Role
The role of Chaplain (wellbeing team member) involves:
Providing support to children and families with social and emotional needs
Delivering wellbeing services within a multidisciplinary team
Supporting teachers to develop educational, social and emotional programs for vulnerable or at-risk students
Maintaining liaison with community organisations, government agencies, specialist and allied-health professionals
Assisting with student attendance, engagement and mental health initiatives
Fostering a safe, inclusive, respectful learning environment that promotes diversity and mutual respect
Other duties as required, with the right to adjust responsibilities as needed
Attendance is 2–3 days per week.
Selection Criteria
Experience in providing support to children and young people and their families to address social and emotional needs.
Experience in delivering wellbeing services within a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to support schools and teachers to identify and develop educational, social and emotional programs for vulnerable or at-risk children.
Ability to liaise with community service organisations, government agencies, specialist programmes and allied health professionals.
