About the opportunity
Seeking a confident Nurse Manager with strong leadership experience
Focus on risk management and quality improvement, to take our growing service to the next level
Ideal for leaders with experience in project management, leading quality improvement projects or leading recent procedure roll out across teams
Opportunities to deputise for the NUM, to further develop management skills
HITH provides holistic, multidisciplinary care at home to reduce or avoid hospital stay - so an understanding of the model is essential
The ANUM will also have clinical responsibilities at times, therefore strong clinical skills and recent acute experience are required.
Dedicated clinical days are rostered for ANUMs, to stay connected with patient care, maintain skills, and achieve requirements of the clinical competency framework
What you'll bring
You're resilient, innovative and have a whole lot of heart. You are driven to enhance care outcomes through continuous improvement, and thrive under pressure.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Established management skills, with previous experience as an ANUM or team leader
- Demonstrated experience being responsible for managing complaints, incidents, leading unit level problem solving and independent decision making
- Demonstrated nurse leadership, including supporting staff and leading projects to improve service delivery
- Demonstrated proficient clinical skills in specialty (HITH or Community) and understanding of the HITH model and clinical context of care provision at home
- Must have current registration as a Registered Nurse, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
- A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
- Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
