The Legal Department is seeking a Senior Lawyer to lead the negotiation, review, and management of agreements related to research activities and intellectual property. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial contracts, intellectual property law, and corporate governance.
The Senior Lawyer will work closely with internal stakeholders, including research staff and the professional services team, to ensure compliance with relevant laws and policies. They will also provide legal advice and support on a diverse range of corporate and commercial matters, including negotiation and preparation of agreements, contract management, and risk assessment.
Key skills and qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws, a current practising certificate, and a minimum of 8 years PQE. Experience in a medical research institute environment is preferred. The ideal candidate will have excellent commercial awareness, relationship building, influencing, and negotiating skills, as well as the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
